HOVER FOR DESIGN STATEMENT
Intimate Apparel is a story about harsh realities, restrictions from gender, race, and social class, and the longing for intimacy. The lighting complimented the realistic scenic design and anchored itself in location and environment. Emotional responses fueled the lighting shifts, allowing for seamless transitions between the realistic scenes to the more abstract moments within the story. Various windows were used to depict different locations, but also different social classes between the characters. The lack of physical scenic changes required lighting to take lead on anchoring scenes within their location.
